This was one of the hardest things to hear when I was there. It's
absolutely devastating ... and knowing a soldier whose family's house was
bombed out in Sderot during the recent attacks? Breaks my heart.
I agree - seeing all the bomb shelters (brightly colored with "cute"
images) and knowing that people have only 15 seconds to get there from
their homes and schools (!) was just so devastating.
The people of Israel are truly amazing, they have shown restraint for a
long time, as much as war is hell, doing nothing is much worse. I remember
hearing once someone was asked when will this all stop ? and the answer was
"When they love their children more than they hate us."
