Did I mention that I'm in Israel?

posted Monday, 9 November 2009

After I got home from Israel this summer, I had it in my head that I would return in November. Not for any particular reason, just that I would return. I started keeping my schedule clear and talking to friends about planning a trip. Finally a friend nudged me into "buying the damn ticket." That night I found one on Turkish Airways for $700 and booked the ticket.

Here I am. In Tel Aviv for the month. I was able to sublet an apartment with a great location. I've got a few workshops planned and a lot of free time. I hope to write a lot, see friends, cook a few good dinners and just have a nice month. Let me know if you want to hang out.

1. Editilla~New Orleans Ladder left...
Tuesday, 10 November 2009 6:45 am :: http://noladder.blogspot.com/

Hey Leah, I spotted you on my stat-counter! We have both traveled so far since that little benefit you threw for New Orleans, but you...Wow, Israel! Everybody want's to know about Israel. New Orleans has a Very Solid Active Jewish community, many of whom are my friends. Hey, one of them is even (most probably)(almost certainly) (God please say yes) about to run for Mayor of the City: Leslie (Rosenthal) Jacobs. That's right... A WOMAN!!!! Hahahahahaha, and she is a formidable individual quite accomplished and all'dat. It is very exciting. I think she would make the Best Mayor.

So if you start regular blogging from Israel, would you Please email me alerts and I will post them on the Ladder. Tomorrow we turn 2 years old. Yay! We clock now about 200 hits/day. We will have gone from 0-77,500 hits. That may not sound like much, as it really isn't in'da blog'0'reamery, but it tickles me to no end to know that you know about the Ladder. That's what I'm talkin'bout. Oh, and one other thing... When you talk to them over there about New Orleans, the subject of FAITH is bound to come up. Please explain how that relates to the Saints record of 8-0, and that this year they may very well go to the Super Bowl. We have Faith. Explain to them the meaning of "Who'dat?" as you all will doubtless be hearing that more and more with each coming win. It is.. "Who'dat? Who'dat? Who'dat Say They Gonna Beat Them Saints?" "Who'dat? Who'dat? Who'dat Say They Gonna Beat Them Saints?" This chant thunders through the Dome at home games, and over the radio when they are on the Road Scoring Points! Who'dat? I have always felt this way about Israel since they re-took the City of Gold. She turned to the world and asked, "Who'dat?" You tell'em that.
